Winter Lace Afghan
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®
GAUGE:
8 sts + 13 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Lace Pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
sk2p- slip 1 st as if to knit, knit 2 sts together, pass slipped stitch over - 2 sts decreased. ssk (slip, slip, knit)- slip next 2 sts as if to knit, one at a time to right needle, insert left needle into fronts of these 2 sts and knit them together.

Winter Lace Afghan Reviewed by Lynda Laycock on 2013-03-27
I've been knitting since Dec 2012, and this is the most challenging pattern I've tried. It is turning out beautifully. I'm using stitch markers and index cards to keep me on track. I had to frog a couple of times before I got smart and followed the advice of other reviewers. It made all the difference in the world. I am knitting in Oatmeal for a more masculine look. Fabulous, I will do this again as I am already receiving requests.
