Lion Brand® LB 1878

16 sts + 18 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm)
When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

1) Wrap is knit with Stitch Dial at 9 throughout.
2) One cone of yarn is sufficient for several projects.
3) Refer to your knitting machine manual for instructions on how to cast on, cast off, work in Stockinette st, and decrease.

Set counter to 000.
Cast on 120 (130) needles. K240 (270) rows. Cast off. Reset counter to 000.

SLEEVE (make 1)
Cast on 44 (54) needles.
Rows 1-7: Knit.
Row 8: Knit, dec 1 st each edge - 42 (52) sts.
Next Rows: Rep Rows 1-8, 7 times - 28 (38) sts.
Next Rows: K 3 rows.

Machine-Knit Luxury Wrap Reviewed by Pamela Hogan Rambin on 2014-03-28 *****
It was pretty easy to knit, a great beginner pattern. I must admit I was thrown by only knitting one sleeve, but I really liked the way it came out. It would be great to see more machine knitting patterns.
