GAUGE:

23 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in K3, p3 Rib, slightly stretched. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Fitted Top Reviewed by Jo Parsons on 2011-06-13 *****
Just finished this project today and LOVED IT. It fits beautifully on me (rib is so forgiving for bigger ladies). But I added 5.5 inches to the finished length so it sits nicely just below my waist - there really is no call for tops which ride up at the back.

It took a lot longer than I imagined to work up at around 6 weeks off and on. But I really am very pleased with it. Easy to do and a lovely fit.
