Crochet 2-1/2 Hour or Less Scarf
Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®
GAUGE:
5 half double crochet + 4 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) with 1 strand each of A, B and C together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Crochet 2-1/2 Hour or Less Scarf Reviewed by Georgette Cole on 2011-03-21
This pattern is WRONG!! First of all, after 6 tries (including one with a single thread) the chain count has to be reduced to 75 in order for the pattern to work. Then if you use up the yarn as directed, you have a very short-very wide piece of work that is thick enough to be part of an afghan. To wear this as shown you ABSOLUTELY have to increase the chains to 99. The scarf is still too thick in my opinion. I have crocheted for over 50 yrs. and I teach crochet. The ONLY reason I would ever make this item is because it is REQUIRED by the class curriculum. If you have a choice--make another scarf.
