Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, (ch 5, sk 3 ch, sc in next ch) 8 times, ch 5, sk 1 ch, (sc, ch 5, sc) in last ch. Working along opposite side of ch, skip next ch, ch 5, sc in next ch, (ch 5, sk 3 ch, sc in next ch) to end of row.
Begin working in rows, rows begin and end at neck.
Row 2: Ch 5, turn. * Sc in ch-5 sp, work 8 dc in next ch-5 sp; rep from * around, end sc in last ch-5 sp, ch-5, sc in last sc of previous row.
Row 3: Ch 2, turn. 3 dc in ch-5 sp, *(ch 1, dc) in each of the next 8 dc, (ch 1, sl st ) in next sc, rep from *, end 3 dc in last ch-5 sp.
Row 4: Ch 8, turn. *sk 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 5, sk 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 5, sk 2 dc, hdc in next sl st , ch 5, rep from *, end with ch 5, sc in ch-2 loop.
Row 5: Ch 5, turn. *Sc in next ch-5 space, 8 dc in next ch-5 space, rep from * end ch 5, sc in ch-8 loop.
Row 6: Change to B. Ch 1, turn. Sc in ch-5 sp, * (dc, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook– dc-picot made) in each of next 8 dc, sc in next sc, repeat from *, end sc in ch-5 sp.
Row 7: Ch 8, turn. *Skip 2 dc-picot, sc in next dc, ch 5, skip 2 dc-picot, sc in next dc, ch 5, sk 2 dc-picot, hdc in next sc, ch 5, rep from * end sc in last st.
Row 8: With B, Rep Row 5.
Row 9: Rep Row 6. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Neck Ties (make 2)
With A, ch 35. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to end. Fasten off. Sew a tie to each side of Coat at neck.
Body Ties (make 2)
With A, ch 45. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to end. Fasten off. Sew a tie to each side of Coat, about halfway between neck and back edge.
FLOWERS (make 3 with C, 4 with D)
Ch 8, sl st into 1st ch (first petal loop made),* ch 8, sl st into 1st ch, rep from * 3 more times (5 petal loops made); work 6 sc around each petal chain. Fasten off.
Sewing through center of Flower with A, sew 5 Flowers to back of Coat, alternating C and D flowers. Sew remaining flowers to end of each neck tie. |
