Snowball
Lion Brand® Fun Fur
GAUGE: Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
|
A fun decorating project, these charming snowballs can be personalized in an infinite number of ways and enjoyed for many holidays to come. Visit your local craft store for design inspirations – faux floral accents come in a variety of styles and the instructions below serve as a loose guideline and foundation for you to get started.
SNOWBALL
Wrap yarn evenly around ball to cover completely. Tuck yarn end in to secure. Notch ends of sage ribbon and fold it, accordion style, into quarters.
Use hole punch to make a hole in the center of the folded ribbon. Place folded ribbon on top of the ball and insert holly and berry sprig through the hole, securing sprig in the ball. String jingle bells onto a floral pin and insert into ball through base of ribbon and holly sprig. Tie a bow with the shorter length of red ribbon around the base of the jingle bells. Tie longer red ribbon to the remaining floral pin and secure to the back of the holly.

| I did this with my 4 yr old granddaughter. She loved it! We did these in pink, using left over yarn. This is a nice way to use up partial skeins.
