GAUGE:

10 1/2 dc = 4 in. (10 cm).
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) - Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next stitch and draw up a loop. Yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased.

LEG WARMER (make 2)
Ch 31 (35); sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 2 (beg ch counts as hdc on this rnd and next rnd), hdc in each ch around; join with sl st in top of beg ch - 31 (35) hdc at end of this rnd.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, hdc in each hdc around; join with sl st in top of beg ch.
Rnds 3 and 4: Ch 3 (beg ch counts as a dc on this rnd and on all the remaining rnds of this pattern), dc in each hdc around; join with sl st in top of beg ch.
Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in same st as join (increase made), dc in each dc around; join with sl st in top of beg ch - 32 (36) dc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 6: Ch 3, dc in each dc around; join with sl st in top of beg ch.
Rnd 7: Rep Rnd 5 - 33 (37) dc at the end of this rnd.
Rep Rnd 6 until piece measures 16 in. (40.5 cm) from beg.
Next Rnd: Ch 1, sc in first dc, sc2tog, sc in next 14 (16) dc, sc2tog, sc in each remaining dc around; join with sl st in beg ch - 31 (35) sts at the end of this rnd.
Next 3 Rnds: Ch 1, sc in each sc around; join with sl st in beg ch.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

I havent made them yet, but I am sure going to! 70's era clothing etc is SO 'THE TREND' right now! I am 60 next year but I am still young enough in spirit to make, wear and LOVE these! YYIIIPPPEEEEE!!
