GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

RUG
Wrap each yarn around cardboard, then cut along one side to make 2 in. (5 cm) lengths.
Fold a cut length of yarn in half and place on the latch hook.
Insert hook into one canvas square and out the next, pulling back to create a knot and securing the yarn in place.
Continue in this manner, following the color sequence below, until the stripe pattern is complete.


Work 6 rows each with E, G, B. Work next 6 rows using A and D in alternate squares for tweed effect.
Work 6 rows each with F, C, H. Work next 6 rows using E and G in alternate squares for tweed effect.
Work 5 rows with I, 2 rows with E, 5 rows with I. Work next 6 rows using E and G in alternate squares for tweed effect.
Work 6 rows each with I, F, C. Work next 6 rows using A and D in alternate squares for tweed effect.
Work 6 rows each with B, G, E.

FINISHING
Sew binding to canvas edge.
