STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

NOTES:

Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.

BODY
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch; place a marker to indicate beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around – 12 sc.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 18 sc.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around – 24 sc.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around – 30 sc.
Rnds 6–29: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 30: *Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around – 24 sc.
Rnd 31: *Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around – 18 sc.
Rnd 32: *Sc2tog, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 12 sc.

Stuff piece and continue to add stuffing as work progresses.
Shape Head

Rnd 44: *Sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc; rep from * around – 18 sc.

Following package directions, attach safety eyes.
Rnd 47: *Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around – 12 sc.

Rnd 50: Sc in each sc around.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Weave tail through last rnd and gather tightly. Knot to secure.

LEGS (make 4)
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch; place a marker to indicate beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around – 12 sc.
Rnds 3–6: Sc in each sc around.
Fasten off.

NOSE
With B, ch 2.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around – 8 sc.
Rnds 3 and 4: Sc in each sc around.
Stuff Nose.
Rnd 5: (Sc2tog) around – 4 sc.
Fasten off.

EARS (make 2)
With B, ch 2.

Stuff Legs and Tail and sew to Body. Sew Nose and Ears to Head.

Great pattern and great toy. I would only suggest stuffing this little guys body with some poly pellets or other material to weigh down his back end. When I finished my first one he leaned forward and had his back end up off the table. Some poly pellets would keep him more stable.
