GAUGE: 4 sts + 4 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS) with 3 strands of yarn held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Garter borders are worked with 2 strands of yarn held together. Change to 3 strands held together for St st sections.

I love the yarn and I love the coat but I had to alter it because I didn't have enough yarn to finish. I had to take off the pockets and shorten the collar, and I still had to buy another ball to sew it. I would highly recommend purchasing 15 balls instead of 12 to complete the project as per instructions. It is very easy and worked up fast, I'm just disappointed that I didn't have enough of the same dye lot to finish it properly.
