GAUGE:

16 sc x 4 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

FINISHING
Cut 8 strands of A, each approximately 4 inches (10 cm) in length. Cut 6 strands of B, each approximately 4 inches [10 cm long]

Starting with A and ending with A, for a total of 7 fringe pieces, using smaller crochet hook and alternating colors, pull a strand of yarn through each stitch at the end and loop to make a fringe. Trim fringe evenly to approximately ½ inch (1.25 cm).
