Knit Hat
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®
GAUGE: 9 sts + 13 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Hat is worked as flat rectangle, then seamed to make a tube.

| Knit Hat Reviewed by Cathy Wideman on 2009-02-18 |

| I am a newbie to knitting and chose to make this hat. It was very easy: I completed most of it in less than two hours. It is cute, too. But I would not consider it an adult hat, especially as we live in Minnesota. I thought it looked a little small while knitting and added four rows. It still doesn't cover my forehead or ears, although the circumference is big enough. My gauge is almost right on, just a bit loose. It fits my 8-year-old better than me. I'm going to try again with repeating a row of purling on the right side after the second 9 rows of stockinette stitch and do another nine rows of stockinette stitch, basically adding another 10 rows.
