Squares Within Squares Afghan
Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®
GAUGE:
Strip = 4 in. (10 cm) wide. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with next color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch.

Squares Within Squares Afghan Reviewed by Lori Saylor on 2010-04-26
This was a lot of work changing colors. I finally started doing the interior squares as one long piece. I would work in the first row and then measure out approximately 42" of yarn then carry it up through the stich to make it available for the next row.
I also needed 5 balls for color A (not 4) and only 1 ball of color D (not 2).
Sewing the strips together was difficult.
