GAUGE:
10 single crochet = 4 in. (10 cm) with 2 strands of yarn held together.
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Posy Ruffle Flip Flops Reviewed by Dheera Kitchlu on 2009-07-04
I just loved the idea but am not too good at following instructions yet! So out I went and bought straw flip flops with velvet straps and created my version of your wonderful pattern! They look super. I wish I could understand what to do with the posy pattern.
Thank you for making me smile so much!
