Posy Ruffle Flip Flops
Lion Brand® Lion® Cotton
GAUGE:
10 single crochet = 4 in. (10 cm) with 2 strands of yarn held together.
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STRAP WRAP (make 2 for each flip flop)
With 1 strand each of A and B held together, make a chain the length of one side of strap + 2 more chains. Row 1: Double crochet in 4th chain from hook and in each chain across. Row 2: Chain 3, turn, double crochet in each double crochet across.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail.
POSY (make 1 for each flip flop)
With 1 strand each of C and D held together, chain 36. Row 1: Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across - 35 single crochet. Next Row: Chain 1, turn, single crochet in first stitch, skip next stitch, (double crochet, chain 1, double crochet, chain 1, double crochet) in next stitch, *skip next stitch, single crochet in next stitch, skip next stitch, (double crochet, chain 1, double crochet, chain 1, double crochet) in next stitch; repeat from * across.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Roll piece into a spiral and use tail to sew together.
FINISHING

I am an experienced crocheter but have never seen these before. They are the simplest things to make. Although it makes me feel like I have slippers on they are adorable. You can make them within an hour.
