GAUGE: 12 stitches and 15 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in single crochet. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: To change color, work the last stitch of the old color to the last yarn over, yarn over with the new color and draw through all the loops on hook to complete stitch. Fasten off the old color.

COLOR SEQUENCE
Work 2 rows with A, 2 rows with B, 2 rows with C, 2 rows with D, 2 rows with A, 2 rows with E, 2 rows with C, 2 rows with B, 2 rows with F, 2 rows with E, 2 rows with G, 2 rows with C, 4 rows with D, 2 rows with H, 2 rows with F, 2 rows with E, 2 rows with C, 4 rows with J. Repeat these 40 rows for Color Sequence.
DISH TOWEL
With A, chain 40.
Row 1: Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across - 39 single crochet.
Row 2: Chain 1, turn, single crochet in each single crochet across.
Repeat last row, changing colors following Color Sequence, until piece measures 20 in. (51 cm) from beginning. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.

| Easy and great to make when you travel. Make pattern bigger if you wash in washing machine. It will shrink. Also made table runner for warm food dishes to be used on the picnic table.
