10 stitches and 7 1/2 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern stitch. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Chain 26. Row 1: (Single crochet, 2 double crochet) in 2nd chain from hook, *skip 2 chains, (single crochet, 2 double crochet) in next chain; repeat from * 6 more times, skip 2 chains, single crochet in last chain - 25 stitches. Rows 2-19: Chain 1, turn, (single crochet, 2 double crochet) in first single crochet, *skip 2 stitches, (single crochet, 2 double crochet) in next stitch; repeat from * 6 more times, skip 2 stitches, single crochet in last stitch.
FINISHING
Arrange Squares in 3 rows of 3 Squares each as follows: Row 1: A, B, A Row 2: B, A, B Row 3: A, B, A
Using C, whipstitch Squares together. Once squares have been sewn together, whipstitch around the outside edges of Blanket. Weave in ends.

This was my first crochet project that I made. Since I'm a beginner I had a little trouble at first working with the yarn but after a few tries it was a breeze. Only thing I changed was to add an extra row to make it a little bit bigger. Very pleased with the end results.
