Simple Modern Squares Afghan
Lion Brand® Homespun®
GAUGE: 10 stitches + 7 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in half double crochet. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| This yarn is difficult to work with but you do get used to it. I think this pattern was modified to make the blanket in the picture, because 14 rows makes a square, not a rectangle. I did 20 rows instead hoping I wouldn't run out of yarn too early, which of course I did. And this yarn isn't cheap.. I spent $30 even when it was on sale and with a 20% off coupon.
