GAUGE: 13 hdc + 9 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: hdc2tog (hdc dec) (Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop) twice. Yarn over and draw through all loops on hook. hdc3tog (hdc 2 dec) (Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop) 3 times. Yarn over and draw through all loops on hook. |

| WONDERFULLY simple pattern. While it is very simple, I can see why it is labeled Intermediate: due to the raglan arm shaping, particularly in making the two front pieces. You cannot simply make two identical pieces and flip one, you must reverse your work for the left side. But other than that it's easy-peasy! The half double crochet's get a little tedious and boring, but the end product is SO worth it! I haven't completely finished mine yet, I ran out of yarn, but I assembled one side of the jacket because I simply couldn't wait to see it! I'll post a pic as soon as I am finished. I did use a different, softer, somewhat more delicate yarn in a peach color. Also for right now I am omitting the button/buttonhole as I'm not sure if I want one. Highly recommend this pattern, be warned that the sleeves are quite short, and I'm not just saying that because I long monkey-arms.
