Squared Afghan

Lion Brand« Vanna's Choice®

GAUGE:

1 Square = 14 x 14 in. (35.5 x 35.3 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

NOTES:

Editor's Note: In response to customer comments, we have rewritten this pattern. Please note that this afghan is created with a technique that will not create precisely square pieces, and is not meant to lay perfectly flat.

If you are experiencing cupping of your squares (which tends to happen if you are crocheting more tightly), work more loosely or switch to a larger hook.

Squared Afghan Reviewed by Chavon Robinson on 2013-01-09 *****
I did enjoy making this quilt. I made it pretty large with lots of squares, so it took quite a while. Everyone loves it. I made it a few years back, but I still get compliments on it. Thanks for the inspiration.
