With first color, ch 35.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and each ch across – 33 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 15 hdc, hdc3tog, hdc in next 15 hdc; change to second color in
last st – 31 hdc.
Row 3: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 13 hdc, hdc5tog, hdc in next 13 hdc – 27 hdc.
Row 4: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 12 hdc, hdc3tog, hdc in next 12 hdc; change to first color in
last st – 25 hdc.
Row 5: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 11 hdc, hdc3tog, hdc in next 11 hdc – 23 hdc.
Row 6: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 10 hdc, hdc3tog, hdc in next 10 hdc; change to second color in
last st – 21 hdc.
Row 7: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 8 hdc, hdc5tog, hdc in next 8 hdc – 17 hdc.
Row 8: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 7 hdc, hdc3tog, hdc in next 7 hdc; change to first color in

Following assembly diagram below, sew 4 Small Squares together to make each large square. Sew
large squares together to make Afghan.
