GAUGE:

10 single crochet = 4 in. (10 cm), each square measures 8 x 8 in. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Crochet Afghan Reviewed by Cherryl Molitor on 2012-12-02 *****
I made this for my daughter with Homespun Herb Garden and Olive. I did make it bigger; it is absolutely beautiful. However, being quite putzy sewing all the squares together I think next time I will try doubling the square, to have less to put together. I'm hoping it will still be beautiful. Cherryl
