GAUGE:

One square = 8 x 8 in. (23 x 23 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

8-Color Afghan Reviewed by Carlene Berner on 2013-05-13 *****
I enjoyed working this afghan and seeing the squares come to life in the different colors that I chose to go with my decor. Vanna's colors coordinate beautifully. I did not have quite enough yarn left to do the 2 rows of border. Since I had to purchase an additional skein, I chose to complete both rows of the border in the same color.
