GAUGE: 19 sts + 24 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS) on straight needles BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: M1 as if to purl (make 1 st as if to purl) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal
thread lying between the needles and placing it onto the left needle. Purl this new stitch through
the back loop.
ssk (slip, slip, knit) Slip next 2 sts as if to knit, one at a time, to right needle; insert
left needle into fronts of these 2 sts and knit them tog.

| Boatneck Raglan Pullover Reviewed by Kelly on 2011-07-24 |

| Made this for my sister in law. She is a small and the medium fit her well but was too tight in the armpit area. I had to make some 1'' pieces to place in the arm seam to make it more comfortable. Plan on making myself this sweater but in a deep navy blue and making the sleeves 3/4 so it will be more of a nautical every day sweater. I live in a Sea port town in New England and all the tourists that saw me working on it wanted one too!
