Crochet 5 1/2 Hour Throw
Lion Brand® Jiffy®
GAUGE: 13 sts + 4 rows = 6 in. (15 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| Quick, simple and SUPER THICK! Reviewed by Julie Zimmerman on 2010-11-13 |

I love how it turned out and it was pretty quick, not quite 5.5 hours but less than 10.
I ended up making a decent size throw using 4 balls of solid color and 5 of a print (if you use Vanna's Choice the prints are 35 yards less per skein so 4 skeins of solids equals 5 skeins prints). The pattern says 39 rows but I made 50 with no edging.
Since I had 1 skein left of each solid I purchased a 6th skein of the print and am going to make the throw a few rows longer and then do a couple rounds of edging.
I highly recommend this if you don't have the patience for a smaller hook afghan - I know I don't and I like the immediate results of this. Plan on making it next with 2 strands of HomeSpun!
