Lion Brand® Ruffles®
GAUGE: 8 sts + 14 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in reverse St st (p on RS, k on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Knitting with Ruffles requires a special, yet simple, technique. The loops are formed by

PURSE
Cast on 15 sts.
Work in reverse St st (p on RS, k on WS) until about 1 yd (1 m) of yarn remains.
Bind off.
FINISHING
Fold piece in half to measure about 4½ x 8 in. (11.5 x 20.5 cm). From the WS, with sewing
needle and thread, seam sides. Sew on handles. |
