Lion Brand Jiffy®

GAUGE:

12 sts + 6 rows = 6 in. [15.25 cm] in pattern.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

I made this to sell at my church auction. I was so surprised at how quickly it was going that I started tracking my time - 12.5 hours start to finish. I made it using Jiffy Purple Spray and it looks great.

One note however - the instructions call for a N (9.0mm) hook. I used my N hook but later noticed that my N is marked 10mm. I suspect this difference may be why I needed to buy an extra ball of yarn to finish the edging with. While buying it I looked at hook sizes. They had 3 brands and all of them had their M hook marked as 9.0 instead of the N.
