GAUGE:
12 sts + 6 rows = 6 in. [15.25 cm] in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

From RS, join yarn at any edge of Shawl. Work [sc in next st, dc in each of next 2 sts, tr in each of next 2 sts, dc in each of next 2 sts] evenly around Shawl. Weave in ends.

This is a fast and easy pattern to follow. It's so easy that I have made at least 12 of them for the prayer shawl ministry at my church!! Everyone in my group loved them!! It works up fast, you can make one in a day or two. I have used several different types of yarn including the "Vanna" yarn, and they all look nice when finished.
