GAUGE:

16 sts + 26 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Naturally Nice Baby Sweater Reviewed by D Rukavina on 2013-05-02 *****
Just finished this great pattern and I loved it! But I did make some changes. I didnt have any of the cotton yarn so I substituted wool ease and used size 5 needles. This made a smaller sweater, more like a newborn to 3 mo size. This also meant that it took more rows and more time than it would have withthe larger needles but the result is great. It also only took one skein of wool ease. I am also thinking of using snap tape as a closure or cute buttons since the seed stitch could accomodate small buttons. I used blue wool ease for the first one and think I will also make one in a tan wool ease.
