16 sts + 20 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
Seed Stitch Row 1: *K1, p1; rep from * to last st, k1. Row 2: P the knit sts and k the purl sts.

1) Due to the large number of sts, Afghan is worked back and forth on circular needle.
2) Afghan is knit using Intarsia method, using a separate ball of yarn for each color. Smaller
sections can be worked in duplicate stitch after knitting is complete.

Flower Power Afghan Reviewed by Marina Branzoni on 2012-05-04
I have made it. I have incorporaterd random beads on the flowers and leaves and since it has a "bad side" I have lined it with bright yellow jersey fabric. It is nice and heavvy, perfect for our canadian winters! Very satisfied with this project.
