Knit Sweater Blanket

Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick® - Homespun® - Wool-Ease®

GAUGE:

About 4 sts = 4 in. [10 cm] in St st (k on RS, p on WS) with 1 strand of each yarn held together. Due to the nature of the fabric when working with Speed Stix, gauge may vary throughout the knitting and is not crucial to this project. EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

BLANKET
With 1 strand of each yarn held together, cast on 30 sts. Work in St st (k on RS, p on WS) until piece measures 12 in. [30.5 cm] from beg, end with a RS row.
Next Row (WS - turning row): Knit.
Knit next row (RS) and continue in St st until piece measures 72 in. [183 cm] from beg. Bind off.

FINISHING Fold piece along turning row. Tack each corner of folded section to WS of Blanket. Weave in ends.

I LOVE afghans and this is one of my favorites. Its so very warm and the colors are great. Wish I could find circular Speed Stix...it would have been easier to knit. Any suggestions?
