Seed Stitch Trimmed Sweater
Lion Brand® Microspun
GAUGE: 19 sts + 24 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS) on larger needles. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| tad too small in some places, too big in others ... Reviewed by Shannon Wingert on 2013-02-03 |
   |
This is the third sweater I've knitted from Lionbrand, this being the easiest of the three. I used a charcoal gray yarn of the same weight and texture as the recommended yarn and followed the Small Pattern religiously. The finished product came out a bit boxy (sweaters usually are), but I was unhappy about two things:
1. For a "small," the pattern is generous (and I may be understating that!) about waist measurements. I know this is meant to be loose-fitting, but it appears to be more like a "medium."
2. The finished sleeves are much too short, and I even added an inch. Looking at the picture, there appears to be ample sleeve room, but if you follow the pattern verbatim, you're going to end up with 3/4-length sleeves! I would highly recommend ignoring the suggested length and simply knit the length you require.
