GAUGE:

10 sc +10 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Three-panel Striped Afghan Reviewed by Carol Hoffman on 2010-01-17 *****
Absolutely the BEST pattern to make. I have made this in various color combos for gifts and everyone I've made it for loves it. I made it 3x already and will start another one in the spring when I return from my winter home in Az. to NY. My neighbor's hubby stole the one I made her, and so I need to make another one :) Makes you look like you really are an artist when this works up!
