GAUGE:
16 sts + 20 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) with smaller needles and 2 strands of A held
tog in St st (k on RS, p on WS).
13 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) with larger needles and 1 strand each of B and C held tog
in Garter st (k all rows). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Touch of Mink Dog Sweater Reviewed by Jil Baird on 2008-12-27
Wow - so much fun. We have a miniature schnauzer T.R. (Theodore Roosevelt). We live at the entrance to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora, North Dakota.
I had a great time knitting this little sweater. Took me only one evening. And, T.R. loves his sweater.!!!!!
Starting another one tonight. I'll post pictures later.
