GAUGE: 10 sts = 4 in. [10 cm] in Garter stitch (knit every row) with 1 strand each of A and B held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NECKWARMER
With 1 strand each of A and B held together, cast on 26 sts. Work in Garter stitch (knit every
row) until piece measures 28 in. [71 cm] from beginning. Bind off.
FINISHING
Sew short ends together for 5 in. [12.5 cm], leaving remaining 5½ in. [14 cm] open. Weave in
ends. |

| This is an amazing pattern. I have been knitting for 50 years and rarely do I make something for myself. Knitted this especially for myself for Christmas. This is very easy to knit, knits up beautiful, and is very warm. I have already started on another one to start making for friends for Christmas 2010. That is if I can wait that long to give it to them. Thank you for such a wonderful knitting pattern.
