GAUGE: 8 sts + 13 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | ssk (slip, slip, knit) Slip next 2 sts as if to knit, one at a time, to right needle, insert

Shape Armhole
Bind off 2 (2, 3, 3, 4) sts at beg of next 2 rows – 33 (37, 39, 43, 45) sts. Dec 1 st each
side every other row 2 (3, 3, 4, 4) times – 29 (31, 33, 35, 37) sts. Work even in St st until same
length as Front. Bind off.
Finishing
Sew side and shoulder seams.
Neck Edging
From RS with circular needle, pick up and k 50 (54, 58, 60, 66) sts evenly spaced around neck
edge. Mark center front stitch. Join and work in Seed st to 2 sts before marked center st, p2tog,
k1, p2tog, work in Seed st to end of round. Rep last round once more. Bind off in Seed st.
Armhole Edging
From RS with circular needle, beg at underarm, pick up and k 30 (34, 36, 38, 42) sts evenly
spaced around armhole. Work in Seed st for 2 rounds. Bind off in Seed st. Rep Edging on other
armhole.
