GAUGE: 7 stitches = 4 in. [10 cm] in half double crochet. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SHAWL
Chain 43.
Row 1: Half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook and in each
chain across – 41 half double crochet.
Row 2: Chain 2, turn, half double crochet in each stitch across – 41
half double crochet.
Repeat Row 2. Work in half double crochet until piece measures 80 in. [205 cm]
from beginning. Fasten off.
FRINGE
Cut remaining yarn into 13 in. [33 cm] lengths. For each Fringe, hold 1
length of yarn and fold in half. Use crochet hook to draw fold through edge of
piece, forming a loop. Pull ends of Fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten.
Trim Fringe evenly. |

I love this yarn been using it for years, althought some of the colors are discont. like the artic white with black. I use it for scarves and have many compliments and gave some away. havent tried this one but will now, This color is great too. also the blue color so soft. Anyway glad that this yarn is available Wish the Artic white would come back I know that would be a great shawl color too
