GAUGE:

12 sts + 20 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

RC (Right Cross) Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in back, k 2, then p 1 from cable needle.
LC (Left Cross) Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front, p 1, then k 2 from cable needle.
2/2 RC (2 over 2 right cross) Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back, k 2, then k 2 from cable needle.

This was a great pattern. fun and easy to make. Great pattern to learn cable knitting with, I used this as my first cable knitting pattern before I moved onto a more complex cable pattern.
