Half Moon Shawl
Lion Brandฎ Romance®
GAUGE: 12 sts + 5 1/2 rows = 6 in. [15.25 cm] in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | Bobble Holding back last loop of each dc, work 5 dc in next st, yarn over and pull through 6 loops on hook. |

| Half Moon Shawl Reviewed by Janice Wojtowicz on 2010-10-12 |

| Pattern is easy to follow although, for me, a bit confusing when the next row should begin in the 'next' DC or in the very first DC. But I got it!! I agree that 25 rows is too short to my liking and did add a few more rows - I like the shawl to be long enough to cover my elbows. I'm a bit slow at crocheting but have found that I can work the entire project in one day - even with interruptions. I used a size 9 hook instead of the 13. I didn't care for the looseness of the stitch with the larger hook. Pattern is pretty and will make great xmas gifts. Also row 13 should read 2 dc in ch-2 sp - there are no ch-3 spaces in this pattern. Completed 23 shawls in two months! Told you it was easy!
