GAUGE:

10 sts (1.5 shells) + 4 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in Shell pattern stitch. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Downloadable Pattern: Olivia's Shrug Reviewed by Elizabeth Emerson on 2009-11-03 ***
Pattern (stitches) was easy to follow and the shrug turned out as pictured. Made it in Plum color. I just wish it wasn't so bulky around the collar, and the sleeves could have been longer.(The end just below the elbow. As others mentioned, connecting the front to the back was ackward. Not sure I love it, but it was worth the time to make. Fun!
