Felted Pincushion
Lion Brand® Lion® Wool
GAUGE: 18 sts + 28 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in St st (k on Right Side, p on Wrong Side) before felting. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

PINCUSHION
With A, cast on 20 sts. Work in St st until piece measures 10 in. [25.5 cm] from beginning.
Bind off. Fold piece in half and seam 2 sides. Leave remaining side open. Weave in ends.
FINISHING
FELTING
Wash by machine on a hot wash/cold rinse cycle with detergent and several pieces of clothing to
agitate. To felt additionally, dry by machine on a regular setting until almost dry. Remove from
dryer and pull into shape. Allow to dry completely. For more about felting, click here.
With B, C, D, E, and F, embroider French knots randomly on Pincushion. Stuff Pincushion, then sew

| This was a wonderful project to learn how to knit and felt. They make great little gifts. I changed the colors in some and they all came out just adorable, unique and very useful.
