GAUGE:

Motif = 5 in. [12.75 cm] diameter. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

MOTIF IX
Ch 9, sl st in beg ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 18 sc in ring, join with sl st in beg sc.
Rnd 2: (Ch 9, sc in 4th ch from hook, hdc in each of next 2 ch, dc into each of next 3 ch, skip next 2 sc, sl st in next sc) around – 6 points. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.
