FINISHING Neck Edging From RS, join A with sl st in any ch-1 sp of foundation chain, (ch 2, hdc in same sp, sl st in next ch-1 sp) 20 (24, 24) times, end with sl st in beg ch-1 sp, fasten off.
Fringe Cut 324 (396, 444) strands of B each about 13 in. [33 cm] long. For each fringe, hold 6 strands of yarn together and fold in half. Use crochet hook to draw fold through sp between shells in last rnd of Poncho, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten. Trim fringe evenly.
DRAWSTRING With color of your choice, ch 108 (120,132) to measure about 32 (36, 40) in. [81 (91.5, 101.5) cm] long. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to end, fasten off. With RS of Poncho facing, beg just above front point, weave drawstring in and out of sps of Rnd 1, going behind one V, and then in front of the next. Weave in ends.

I had to bump it up to bulky weight yarn and a size L hook, Then I followed the pattern until I had 10 rows and then I made the drawstring (following the length, not the number of stitches.)
