Buttoned-up Wrap

Lion Brand® Incredible® - Moonlight Mohair

GAUGE:

5 stitches + 10 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in pattern stitch (seed stitch). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

WRAP
With one strand each of A, B, and C held together, cast on 22 sts.
Row 1: *Knit 1, purl 1; repeat from * to end.
Row 2: *Purl 1, knit 1; repeat from * to end.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until piece measures about 45 in. [114.5 cm]. Measure garment flat, making sure width is correct before measuring length.

Bind off. Weave in ends.

FINISHING
Sew buttons along top edge of Wrap. Buttonholes are not necessary due to the size of stitches.

You could combine lots of different fibers to make this. Reviewed by LaShawn Wright on 2011-01-22 *****
This was easy and fast and beautiful. I have made one and am working on another. I had trouble finding the Monlight Mohair so i just picked out a fuzzy yarn and a sparkly yarn. After I made the first one I realized you could put together a variety of different fibers to make this. I had fun picking the giant buttons too. The only thing I didnt like was how expensive it would be if you bought all the materials listed on the pattern.
