Spring Greeting Cards

Lion Brand® Microspun - Glitterspun® - Lion® Suede - Incredible® - Fun Fur®

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

CARDS
BASKET
Peel paper from one side of fusible web. Lay out strands of H to cover fusible square, weaving alternately over and under in both directions. Cover with a press cloth and iron at low temperature to secure. Allow to cool. Cut basket shape as desired. Peel paper from remaining side of fusible web, and fuse to card. Cut three 9 in. [22.5 cm] lengths of G. Braid lengths together. Trim braid if needed, and glue to card for basket handle. Cut three 6 in. [15 cm] lengths of G. Braid lengths together. Trim braid if needed, knot ends, and glue to card along top edge of basket. Glue 3 lengths of I above G length.
For eggs, apply glue to card in dime-sized ovals. Beginning at center of one oval, coil a strand of A, B, C, or D as desired into glue. Allow to dry.

VASE
Sketch a vase shape on inside front of card. With large-eyed blunt needle punch holes along sides of vase. From outside of card, weave F in and out of holes to fill in vase shape. With B and E work straight stitch flowers as desired.
