GAUGE:

20 sc + 32 rows = 4 in [10 cm] When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Springtime Clutch Reviewed by Cameron on 2012-06-21 ****
I spent two or three hours on this, and I have to say, it turned out adorable. I don't consider myself an advanced crocheter, but this was a very simple pattern to follow. The lace is a little confusing at some parts, but in the end, I loved it. This isn't a first time pattern, so I would recommend it for people who have already learned the basics, and want a bit of a challenge. Definitely worth the work.
