Knit Fox Wrap

Lion Brand® Festive Fur - Glitterspun®

GAUGE:

9 1/2 sts + 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Garter stitch (k every row) with 1 strand A, 1 strand B and 1 strand C held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

BODY
With 1 strand A, 1 strand B and 1 strand C held together, cast on 85 sts. Work in Garter st (k every row) until piece measures 14" [35.5 cm] from beginning. Bind off.

FACE
With 1 strand A, 1 strand B and 1 strand C held tog and RS facing, pick up and k 32 sts across side of Body.
Work 6 rows in Garter st.
Next Row K2, *k3, k2tog; rep from *, end k3 - 26 sts.
Next Row K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1 - 24 sts.
Rep last row 2 more times - 20 sts.
Bind off 3 sts at beginning of next 2 rows - 14 sts.
Work 2 rows even.
Next Row K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1 - 12 sts.
Rep last row 4 more times - 4 sts.
Bind off.

TAIL
With 1 strand A, 1 strand B and 1 strand C held tog and RS facing, pick up and k 32 sts across other side of Body. Work 6 rows in Garter st.
Next Row K3, k2tog, *k6, k2tog; rep from *, end k3 - 28 sts.
Work 26 rows even.
Next Row K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1 - 26 sts.
Work 1 row even.
Rep last 2 rows 7 more times - 12 sts.
Work 11 rows even.
Next Row K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1 - 10 sts.
Work 1 row even.
Rep last 2 rows 4 more times - 2 sts.
Next Row K2tog - 1 st.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.
