V-Stitch Cocoon Shrug
Lion Brand® Homespun®
GAUGE: 8 dc + 4 1/2 rows = 5 in. (12.5 cm) in V-st pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | V-st: Work 2 dc in indicated st or sp.
|
NOTES: 1. Shrug is crocheted in one piece, from neck edge to waist edge. Piece is then folded, and armhole seams are sewn.
2. Ruffle is crocheted directly onto Shrug.

| V-Stitch Cocoon Shrug Reviewed by MAC Franz on 2013-01-18 |

| This is a beautiful shrug with a great feel thanks to the homespun yarn. With that said, it is quite small! I wear a large/xlarge in shirts and this was simply way too small. You will need to be a small or xsmall for this to look like it does on the model. It should be easy enough to increase in size by adding more width to the rows and tacking on some additional rows as well. To increase the size, however, hou will want a thrid skein of yarn.
