Lion Brand® Jiffy®
GAUGE: 9 sts + 12 rows = 4 in.[10 cm] in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS) with two strands held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: K2, P2 RIBBING
Row 1: *K2, p2; rep from *.
Row 2: K the knit sts and p the purl sts.

VEST
With 1 strand each of B and C held tog, cast on 62 sts. Work in K2, P2 Ribbing for 2 rows. Change to St st (k on RS, p on WS) and work 10 rows. Change to 1 strand each of C and A and work 14 rows. Change to 1 strand each of B and A and work 12 rows. Change to 2 strands of A and work 8 rows.
Shape Armholes
Next Row: K29, bind off 19 sts, k14.
Next Row: P14, cast on 19 sts, p29.
Work even for 36 rows.
Next Row: K29, bind off 19 sts, k14.
Next Row: P14, cast on 19 sts, p29.
Work even for 8 rows. Change to 1 strand each of A and B and work 12 rows. Change to 1 strand each of A and C and work 14 rows. Change to 1 strand each of B and C and work 10 rows. Work 2 rows in K2, P2 Ribbing. Bind off.
FINISHING
From RS, with 2 strands of A held tog, work 1 round single crochet evenly spaced around each armhole.

| I found this patter very easy and very quick. It only took me three days and I enjoyed watching it come together. However, my finished product curls horribly and looks nothing like the smooth and flowy vest in the picture.
