GAUGE:
5 sc = 3 inches [7.5 cm] with larger hook.
7 rnds = 4 inches [10 cm] with larger hook. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Cap is worked in the round. Visor is worked separately and sewn to
cap.

Pattern was simple to follow but it did turned out small like some reviews I read. I just improvised in spots where it didn't turn out right. When it was supposed to be 11" mine was 9" so I just repeated the last row until I reached 11". And then the very last row I repeated several times but actually added a couple stitches so it wasn't so tight
