STITCH EXPLANATION: COLOR PATTERN
Row 1 Knit with 3 strands of I held together.
Row 2 Knit with 3 strands of E held together.
Row 3 Knit with 1 strand each F, G and H (3 strands) held together.
Row 4 Knit with 3 strands D held together.
Row 5 Knit with 1 strand each F, G and H (3 strands) held together.
Row 6 Knit with 3 strands B held together.
Row 7 Knit with 3 strands E held together.
Row 8 Knit with 3 strands J held together.
Row 9 Knit with 3 strands E held together.
Row 10 Knit with 3 strands C held together.
Row 11 Knit with 3 strands J held together.
Row 12 Knit with 1 strand each F, G and H (3 strands) held together.
Row 13 Knit with 3 strands A held together. |
NOTES: Because of the nature of working with Speed Stix, achieving an exact gauge is not necessary for this project.
Divide each ball/skein into 3 balls. When changing yarns, leave 9" [23 cm] tails for fringe.
Editor’s Note: When creating fringe using Homespun please note that because of the texture of the yarn the fringe will fray when cut. If you prefer a non-frayed look you can knot the ends,
knit or
crochet a fringe, or use hairspray or fray check.

AFGHAN
With 3 strands A held together, cast on 50 stitches. Change to 3 strands of I and begin working color pattern in Garter stitch (knit every row). Repeat color pattern Rows 1-13 three more times. Bind off loosely with 3 strands of A.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.

| When I made this many of the yarns were discontinues, so I had so sub out a bunch. I did it in purples and gave it as an "in memory of" git to a friend's mother and it was well received. It is a messy afghan, but pretty and warm
